A manifesto of aesthetic boldness that continues to captivate and inspire new generations, the Ultrafragola embodies the essence of the Memphis movement: exaggerated forms, pop aesthetics, a touch of irony, and a conscious departure from functional minimalism.
Created by Italian architect and designer Ettore Sottsass, renowned for his provocative and innovative vision in furniture, objects, and architecture—the mirror was originally conceived for the Mobili Grigi collection. Among all the models, it was the only one to remain in continuous production by Poltronova, the Italian brand founded in the 1950s.
Over time, it has become a cult object for design enthusiasts, while retaining its unique appeal: a sculptural silhouette, hypnotic lighting, and artisanal craftsmanship. Each piece is still assembled and finished by hand, preserving the original aluminum mold, now updated with a state-of-the-art LED system.
The Ultrafragola will soon be available at our Príncipe Real store, ready to light up and transform any space.
